The Bible declares there will be a final devastating Middle East War in the last days. The Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel shares his vision in the entire chapter of Ezekiel 38. Note especially verses 1-6
Eze 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Eze 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Eze 38:3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Eze 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Eze 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Eze 38:6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
Ezekiel sees an alignment of the nations ---

*Iraq (Ethiopia and Libya are mentioned which are ancient Put and Cush = Iraq)

*North African nation states (another reference to Ethiopia)
These nations are going to gather and come against Israel in the last days. Israel will be unwalled, meaning it has a false sense of security since it has signed a 7 year peace treaty with the antichrist. Who is the antichrist? He will be the ruler of the European Union (the Revived Great Roman Empire). The invasion of these nations into Israel will happen at the middle of the 7 year peace treaty. This 7 year period of time is called the tribulation period, for there shall be tribulation on the earth as never before in its history!
So we see that 3 and 1/2 years into the tribulation, Israel shall be invaded. These nations will come to invade Israel to plunder it and take control of her wealth and resources as well as to destroy the nation they (Muslims) hate. But God Himself will send fire from heaven and destroy them! Read on ---
Eze 38:22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Eze 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Wow! So we see that Russia and the Muslim states of the former Soviet Union along with Iraq, Iran, Germany, Turkey, and possibly Muslim nations of Northern Africa will invade Russia in the middle of the tribulation. God will send judgment on these armies and destroy them. It is at this time the antichrist will then decide to take advantage of the situation and then he will bring his armies of the United States of Europe (revived Roman empire) to Israel to keep peace (much like the U.N. does today!). However, he will then turn on Israel and take over the land and the temple. He will set an image up in the temple that can speak and will demand worship. Israel will flee to the mountains of Petra, Edom and Moab and God will protect and provide for them the remaining 3 1/2 years. This will be the GREAT tribulation.
God loves the Muslim people, God loves Jew and non-Jew! But God has established a covenant with Israel and Yahweh is a covenant keeping God!
